Executive chef Randhir Singh, our Country Gourmet, cooks to your order every Saturday evening. Enjoy fine fusion dining at Mutianyu Great Wall.

Our dishes are unique, each with their own story and appeal. But they do all share some important traits: they are fresh, homemade and prepared with care.

Our Schoolhouse menu changes with the seasons, just like once upon a time. Our minestrone pot changes every day depending on what's available. Vegetables come from our own gardens or local suppliers. Aside from the comfort Chinese noodles in the Working Man's Noodles, all of our pastas are made from scratch. We knead and roll the dough and cut the pasta ourselves and top it all off with one of our fresh sauces. We bake most of our own bread. Even the mayonnaise on our wholesome sandwiches is made in our own kitchen.

The same goes for our desserts. Our brownies are cut from the baking pan. Our ice cream is made in small batches, with no additives or stabilizers, and we use fruit picked from our own trees whenever we can.

Our noodle-shop, Xiaolumian, was selected by Eileen Wen Moody for inclusion in Beijing Eats, her guidebook to the top Chinese restaurants in Beijing. You can choose from our variety of homemade noodles - each goes well with our variety of homemade sauces.

Surrounded by orchards and country farmland, The Roadhouse focuses on grilled fare and trout netted fresh from our pond. The Roadhouse is also home to our garden and we encourage all guests to take a stroll and see what’s sprouting.

Our newest location, The Brickyard Inn, is a lush and private retreat that incorporates the kilns and other buildings of a traditional glazed tile factory in a design which is "green" from the ground up. See our menu here.

Regardless of where you eat, you'll be getting good, fresh food that is made from scratch. And our work doesn’t end with your dish. We put food scraps into our composting program to enrich our gardens, and the cycle continues.

It takes a lot to serve good, fresh, fair food. But it’s satisfying for us. And we hope it’s satisfying for you. When you visit us please let us know how we’re doing!
